02 Questions

Eligibility

Am I eligible to compete?

The meet is open to all swimmers aged 20 and above. There is no upper age limit. You do not need to be a competitive swimmer or hold a best time — all abilities and fitness levels are welcome.

What is the minimum age to enter?

You must turn 20 by 31 December 2026 (the date of reckoning). Swimmers who are 19 on race day but turn 20 before year-end are eligible and will compete in the 20–24 age group.

How is my age group decided?

Your age group is based on your age on 31 December 2026 — not on race day. This is the World Aquatics Masters standard. Use our Age Calculator to find your group instantly.

Entering

I don't have a best time — what do I enter?

Enter your estimated time based on your training. If you genuinely have no idea, enter 99:99.99 (the NT/no time convention). Seeding will place you in the slowest heat. You will still compete; just expect to swim with unfamiliar faces.

Can I enter on the day?

No. The entry deadline is 7 November 2026 and entries close absolutely on that date. Late entries will not be accepted. Entries must also be paid by 16 November 2026 to be confirmed.

My club has fewer than 5 swimmers — can we still enter?

Yes. Clubs with fewer than 5 swimmers may submit a manual entry form instead of the Hy-Tek file. Download the manual entry form from our Downloads page and email it to the entries address.

Payment

How do I pay from overseas?

International participants pay by bank transfer to Maybank account 5129-7802-0027 (Kelab Renang New Wave), SWIFT MBBEMYKLXXX. Use the reference format MM_CountryOfOrigin (e.g. MM_Singapore). Transfers must clear by 16 November 2026.

Can I pay cash?

Cash-on-site payment is available to international participants only. You must declare this option at the time of entry. Cash payment is accepted at on-site registration on race day, before your first event.

What is the refund policy?

Entries are non-refundable after the payment due date of 16 November 2026. If you withdraw before that date, contact the meet manager — refunds are at the organiser's discretion. Medical withdrawals may be considered with a doctor's certificate.

Race day

When do I actually swim?

The detailed programme will be posted after the entry deadline closes. Session 1 begins at 08:30. Session 2 begins at approximately 14:00. Your event number determines which session you swim in — see the Order of Events on our Events page.

What should I bring?

A legal swimsuit (as defined by World Aquatics rules), goggles, a swim cap (mandatory), your own towel, and enough food and water for a full day. The venue has a café. Bring your confirmation email or have it accessible on your phone for registration.

Where do I park?

Pusat Akuatik Tuanku Zara has an on-site car park. Carpooling is encouraged as spaces are limited on race day. Overflow parking is available at Ipoh Stadium nearby. Arrive early — the car park typically fills by 07:30.
